intuitive, the London-based reservation system provider, have revealed their unique strategy for growing their in-house development team.

intuitive have been exclusively recruiting graduates (12 in under 2 years) which has enabled the company to deliver more development and more innovation to their customers than ever before.

Academic performance is paramount, so new starters are recruited from the top universities with a first or 2:1 in maths, science, engineering or similar. They are also required to pass a stringent aptitude test. Successful candidates are put through intuitive’s 12-week boot camp where they learn the skills, tools and disciplines to start on real-world projects.

The travel industry is dynamic and as a leading travel technology provider, intuitive must continually adapt their technology to these requirements. Having academic, fresh-thinking and passionate members of the team fosters innovation and creativity, combined with a productive, energetic and fun work ethic.

With a management team with over 60 years’ experience in the travel technology space, coupled with these young, bright developers, intuitive are well-positioned to develop innovative solutions to keep pace with the ever-changing travel industry.

There are many benefits to this approach for all parties. There are a lot of excellent graduates out there that struggle to get their first job due to lack of experience. This works well for us as we can teach them our coding languages and methodology from the ground up. In addition, we have a working environment that is fresh, fun, and progressive.

The technology we deliver for our customers is really complex so being able to have an in-house team in London with serious academic acumen is a big benefit for intuitive and our customers
